The Burka Barbies [demo]

1 week ago, I recorded the demo of a band called the Burka Barbies.

It is recorded in a space of 3 by 4 meters, 2,5 meters high.

The only remark I have is that the toms aren't properly tuned (stock, worn out heads), and that one of the guitars is noisy (it was a Stagg).

First we did all the instruments at once, and later recorded the vocals. Took 7 hours in total (including setting up, and taking breaks).

But I'm pretty happy with the results

Listening to the first, reminds me of B52s.

There are a lot of mid-upper frequencies in this, it sounds "trebly", like an am radio at times. Needs more low end, not only in the bass but overall. The guitars are fairly raw and probably need to be eq'ed more if you want a more commercial sound. Drums are muddy and definitely need more definition. I like the song, upbeat and funny.
