I want to get some professional headphones. Looking for a closed set, with more of a flat sound to them to keep the lows and highs even. Money is no option, im looking for the best!

if you can take in the ear earphones, the etymotics er-4s are AMAZING. I use them in the field and studio. In the field I was inches from a PA stack and still heard my mix loud and super clear, even though the dbs were WAY up there. they are much better than even my 600.00 sennheisers and SMOKE my sony 7506s...etymotics er-4.

honestly...the best, flattest, most noise isolating phones i have ever used. ive tried phones from 1,000.00 and all the way down to 20.00. these smoke em all.

200.00 for the pair. they come with two different tips. and 6 replacement pads(for each type of tip), a two year warranty, a nice case, and ....well..words doesnt do them justice...

there is another company that makes the custom ear molds(basically they send you the molding gel, you pour it in your ear, let it dry, and send it back to them, from that they make the custom tips for your er-4s)

http://www.customearsets.com/Models___Prices/Etymotic/etymotic.html

(this isnt the price for the er-4s..i get em much cheaper than that, but people use that site for the custom earmold ends.and get the actual phones elsewhere.

Sennheiser Pro280's. Or try the Fostex line.

These are the headphones I use --- LINK --- and when they wear out I'm buying another pair. The dead-on stereo imaging, frequency response and pure comfort all add up to THE BOMB.

sscientist..Those are good, I totally concur. I have a pair that I use on gigs at times. If It came down to it and I HAD to have "can" style phones, those ultrasones would be the choice. BUT If I was open to in-ear , and all others..the etymotics top them all, in my opinion. Good choice though. I am aware a lot of people arent open to the idea of in ear phones. :D

Sennheiser HD Pro280's are great and are very reasonably priced.

Gee, with a closed-back headphone, I'd certainly hope so! :D
