Yo Dr. Loveless:[Wild Wild West?]

Lead singer = good voice.

Tempo = drags a bit.

Vocal need about a 25% boost to get "up front."

Pretty good work for using the 488 -- I had a couple of those units.

Maybe add a tad of "stage reverb" to vocals.

The song has possibilities.

I have trouble getting the vocals much higher than that without it sounding like karoake. I'm fairly happy with the pace itself , but I believe that it's yhe lack of "fullnesss" to the recording that cause the pace to drag.....my next investment will be a pair of decent passive monitors(by by optimus lx5) and some sort of of preamp/compressor channel strip device. Oh yeah, the only reverb that I had at the time was an old Biamp spring reverb unit.

Yo LessOF Love:

Yes, for sure about vocals, they demand a great deal of work.

I am an UP FRONT vocal engineer; I use the term, "engineer" as one who is learning the craft. Every once in a while every "engineer" gets lucky and gets a good cut and a good CD.

I enjoyed your work and I'm sure you will have a good time with music, which is what I do; have a good time.

Cheers,
Green Hornet:p :D :p

you're a real copasetic dude, thanks man. Any specific suggestions YOU have, I'll listen up. In about 6 months or so I hope to have the money/loan to go to sheffield. This is the only thing that I have enough concern about to consider learning as a trade skill.
