The best sound I've got yet - which might not be saying much. . .

Tell me what you think of my latest recording: "Something Better"

It's right in the middle of the page under "Feels Like Friday - 13 Miles" on this site: http://www.feelslikefridaymusic.com/The Music.htm. Play the song "Something Better". If that page doesn't work try my soundclick page: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/feelslikefridaymusic.htm. It's the first song on the page.

Rip it up - tell me what sounds good and what sounds bad. I just got a firepod, so this is my first song recorded with it, and I LOVE it over my old delta 44. I've got the same song recorded through the delta and it sounds terrible compared.

Recording Notes:
Electric guitars: SRV custom strat->original POD->firepod
Vocals: Studio Projects C1->firepod - and I'm not so sure about the reverb/delay I've got on them, sounds a little off.
Acoustic guitar: Takamine fd-360sc->pair of mxl 603s's->firepod
Bass: plugged direct into the firepod.
Drums are loops by Drums on Demand.
Recorded in Cubase.

Have at it! (By the way, hope you like the song - I think it's a pretty good one, in a poppy rocky kind of way).

Hey first let me say , thats a great song...and a great sounding recording, I really need to come back to this forum and listen to you Rock and roll dudes if i want some feedback on my Hip Hop mixes! Don't get me wrong I love all music. Anyway at first listen (medium volume) I would of changed a few things....but I think its more personal preference than anything. First I would definitely make the kick a little bigger...and would have maybe brought the drums a little up in the mix too. Second...for me I think the electric guitar could have had just a bit brighter maybe even a little crunchier...., I think the guitars place in the mix is good....but I might have also made that acoustic guitar a stereo track and panned it somewhat wide in the mix to fill it a little bit. Seems to me it was panned left?...maybe even hard left?...Thats about it....anyway...like i said...great song...well done...good recording....its all preference of the engineer at this point!....

please return the favor if you can stand some hip hop
