That looks good to me:) But maybe a bit overboard actually.

I love thinking about going overboard but for 1500-1800 there are a lot of choices that are still way more then you need or want for that matter:)

But yeah thats a nice laptop.

I'm using a 17" Powerbook 1.33ghz with Logic 6 Platinum and it performs incredibly well. Very highly recommended. Absolutely no problems, glitches, hang-ups - ever....so far.

And as far as battery I just plug mine in:) Its fast, convenient, and I I have used both my tower and my laptop and because the laptop has better memory and is a faster overall speed it runs a lot better.

Just thoguht there was a REAL reason not to use a laptop over a tower. If you have one let me know?

Are you going to mix on your tower when you're sitting on the train? In the library? In the coffee house?

Are you going to drag the tower to a show to record?

Why, in this day of 3Ghz cpu's, DDR Ram, and 7200rpm hard drives for notebooks is there such a stink over why anyone should use a notebook?

a lot of guys think laptops are still in the' toshiba satellite 420' - era (very good machine btw)

i use my tower for surfing.

a very happy and mobile laptop user (only 1.2Ghz 480 ram 30 Gig )
