7 times a day for 900 odd consecutive days!!! WOW!!!

My doctor tells me it's good for my heart to "maybe spend a few extra minutes of your day making dumb people feel even dumber." So I figured this thread might be a good candidate.

I know people who spend hours every day in from of the televsion, so I figure what little time it takes me -- spread throughout the day -- to make 7 lousy remarks (most of them 2-3 sentences max @ 70 wpm -- more math for 'ya, Skip) on a bulletin board -- is not only more productive use of my time, but more useful as well.

Do you actually work full time in a studio?

Sort of. I live in one. I work in one. I AM one. Is that an answer?

I've personally commited my life to recording

Hey, that's great. Maybe you could help me out. I was wondering if you could help me pick out a compressor. Oh, that's right.

The distressor, would give you lots of sound options but an LA2A is also a very very good comp.

The Best compressor for the job will change with every person, place or thing.

I like LA-2A's but sometimes I want clarity it doesn't provide.
Cranesong makes a couple of really good ones as well as Pendulum Audio, and lets not forget Summit audio and 1176's.
IM sure thats just the tip of the pile. DBX does has a different flavor to it, but not all DBX flavors are the same. The Distressor is a great compressor because its got alot of different characteristics to it that you won't get with others. The problem with the distressor is that everyone and their mother has one (except me) and so it dominates certain genre's.
Personally Id check out the Pendulum Audio stuff.
Good luck and have fun.
