Which Would be the Best "Budget"($100-$200 Used) Mic for Female Vocals?

1.-Audio Technica AT 3035
2.-Studio Projects B1
3.-M-Audio Luna
4.-Blue Baby Bottle

Others?

I Like it but I think that it is a little Dark, I want to Keep it and buy a second Mic more Female Focused.Sell it and buy a 32 OR 44 Sounds Good Tough.

A request: Could we lose the word "best" from our vocabulary and substitute the phrase, "most consistently usable" or something similar for it. The term "best" is appropriate only if all sound source types sounded the same, which they do not.

I would put my money on the 3035 out of that bunch for most female vocals.. I had great luck with it for male and females.. but especially it excells females if you ask me..

Download it and play it on your DAW computer...

I think the KSM32 had the smoothest sound of all of them...the U87 and the Chinese mic seemed to both have the same bump in the upper mids my Studio Projects C1 has...but the lady sounded the best through the KSM32...so I bought one.

The 3035 was in the comparason...but didnt seem to be in the same class...IDK why a 4000 series wasnt used?

You know.. to my untrained ear.. I found the ksm32 to be a bit too warm maybe.. which I like on males over the 3035.. but I felt like I liked the 3035 a little bit better on ol' inola strings if I heard correct was what I believe her name was.. then on the song I thought the ksm32 sounded slightly better so hmm.. I also felt that u87 was the clear winner.. but there again.. to my untrained ear.. I wish they would have put something from the 40 series in there.. But I think personally the 3035 and the ksm32 are both great mics.. I think expecially prisewise the 3035 is real nice.. but it seems they knocked it down to the 20 series now? I can't find new 3035's.. is the 2035 the same thing?

I put a couple of 3035s on "watch this Item" on ebay and saw them go for under $100...but I didnt bid on them...so used is the way to get them.

ADK Vienna, KSM32, AT4033, AT4040 all seem to get good reviews for female vocals. With the exception of the Baby Bottle, I've seen a fair number of people trashing every mic on your list as sounding harsh.

I was willing to bet he was talking about the bluebird...seeing as to it is at the same price point as the others on the list...Baby bottle money is more in the KSM32...or C214 range.
