What is the procedure to properly play a previously recorded track through a Line 6 Pod or Magicstomp amp modeler?

I have a guitar track in Sonar recorded DI through a RNP. When I tried to reroute it through the modeler all I got back was probably a feedback loop, although it did vary in sound based on the amp selection. I know there is a level disparity between the guitar level it expects and the line level it is receiving, but according to the magicstomp manual you can send a line level to this device.

Appreciate any and all help!!

btw, my audio interface is an Aardvark LX6 (4 1/4 in, 4 1/4 out)

Well, just fyi if I play the sound to a seperate device it sounds great, so I am pretty sure I have a Ground Loop problem...but I don't know enough about electronics to know how to eliminate this...if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it...otherwise external it goes...then back to the daw.

Ok...finally have this working. For those looking to do the same, I routed the output signal through a ProCo DB-4A before going into my MagicStomp. Anyway, it works great now...hopefully this will help someone!
