Test my dodgy fig 8

Hi,
I think the title says it.

I think one of my mics (Behringer B2 Pro) is a bit bust, it has switchable omni, cardiod and fig 8.

I am pretty sure is stuck on Cardiod but can anyone suggest a simple method to test whether the switch is knackered (i.e. test whether fig 8 works)?

sing into one side, then sing into the other.

if they sound the same, then it works.

turn it sideways and sing into it at a bit of a distance. your voice should almost disappear completely.
