Tempo change automation not working?

Hi!

I'm trying to automate the tempo change in ProTools (a gradual ritard, the back up to faster tempo). Screen shot is attached.

It did actually the exact opposite of what I was trying to do!! I drew the tempo line going down, but when I play back, it goes faster and faster at that part. It doesn't make sense. Any idea why this is happening?

Hmmm.. That is kinda strange looking.

What time signature do you have before bar 41?
Also, check the tempo resolution. I can't remember the ins and outs but I've a hunch it could be related.
