we record in an old trailer out in the hills of WV (the mudhouse). this is latest incarnation. (we've been playing together since we were teenagers). we may be going back to the trio format. anyway. everything is recorded on an old digital 8-track recorder using super cheap instruments and stuff. all songs are original. all by amateurs.

listen and tell me what you think. we don't play out much, so we don't get a lot of feedback. i'm trying to get back into writing again, so i need some motivation.

I listened to a few tunes. I kinda like em. Listened to this mountain. Thought the harp sounded a bit outta tune with the rest of the track. But I really like the feel/mood of the song. I guess I'm not sure what type of "critique" or whatever it is that you're looking for, so I don't know what to tell ya. That's a lot of songs....

If nothing else it sounds like it would be a good time hangin out and catchin a buzz with you hippies. ;)

thanks for listening. glad you liked 'em even if itwas only kinda. they're all works in progress.

my favorite is "the blue boy hotel".

as for feedback, just wandering if people like 'em.

I listened to Blue Boy Hotel. I think it's got an interesting progression, and is executed fairly well, but the vocalist seems to be affecting too much of an accent, and it sounds contrived. I listened to "headline news", and I think it's a pretty good song but again I can't get past the Rob Thomas vocals. I'm not saying the guy can't sing, cause he obviously can - but I'm just left wondering what his actual voice sounds like.

The production value is not the greatest - but I can hear past that. Some decent mics and monitors will probably translate into a big difference in your mixes.
