For some reason I won't a Fender Telecaster...not sure why. lol

What is a good year model for these guitars?

Nashville Power Tele. Of course, since I got mine 2 years ago, I just sound like a biased broken record. It doesn't mean I'm wrong, though. :)

G&L ASAT

What's the reason you want a tele?
We could probably give better suggestions if you had a reason.

Any that you play and like.

I played a 52 reissue at the Music Store today and like it. I think it was a 2006 or 2007. I was just wondering if there were better sounding models and years.

I'm off to try a 52 re-issue on the weekend, can compare notes.

I once heard (or read) that guitars, although they are all manufactured to the "same" specs, with the same types of wood, are all different. Even though the same two guitars are built out of the same alder body with the same maple neck, they will both play and sound completely different. So...

what's your budget?

Uh $1300 since that's how much I got for selling vacation back to the man.

Why waste money on vacation when you can play one of these.... :D

I've been looking at these G&L ASAT guitars....I like these.
I was reading in Wiki where Leo Fender thoughts these were his best guitars.
That's quite a compliment for these guitars.

Thanks.

Make sure you play the G&L before you make up your mind (I know, duh) but they sound different than a Tele....you may like them better, but you may not. Plus they seem way heavier.

Okay thanks. Yeah this town only has one music store with one Telecaster. It's about an hour to the nearest town but may be worth it.

i play a les paul but ive always loved the tele and i hope to buy one soon,
the one i have my eye on is fender deluxe nashville tele, its in the lower price range

i dont mean to stray from the thread but since this is a tele thread can anyone tell me what model was it that andy summers played, that was a sweet guitar, i recall it had humbuckers but it could have been custom built

Once you own a Tele you'll be looking for B and G benders for it, so you might as well think about the Nashville B-bender now.

ive had this pic on my computer for a while, its not a very good one but it is the one i am asking about
