Telecaster Kits

I've found some places on the internet where you can buy telecaster and strat kits that have all the parts and you make them yourself. Has anyone done this before? Can you recommend a trustworthy site to buy one from and how good is the quality of the parts they give you? Am I going to want to upgrade the electronics?

There are a lot of these around, however I'm not sure getting a finished product is all that easy.

If I wanted another tele, I looked for a good used one rather than build, but that's just me.

If you build on yourself, don't use a kit. Buy all the parts individually, and then you can get exactly the pickups you want, as well as all the other components.
