Looks like an archer's forearm guard would be needed on your right arm to play it, too. ;^)

We all have our opinions, but to me a Tele is a great guitar that is wide open to mods that make it more suitable to you're style of music and you're playing.
I think that you need to keep the chrome single coil neck in there though-I love the look and sound of that pickup!!!
