The head cover is hinged at the back. Flip it up. There is a mechanical switch above the 2 play heads. It should be to the left for 1/2 track play. One of your pictures shows an owners manual. have you bothered to read it?

It's not UNDER the head cover. It's behind it. Flipping up the head cover disguises the switch.

If only I could read! The picture shows the cover to the manual. The manual itself I do not have.

I really do appreciate your help but if it's so big a pita to give me some advice, why not NOT respond rather than get pissy with me and assume I wouldn't just read the manual first?
