Not Just Anutha Brutha
In my need to start recordin' some of my crappy-@ss jammiez with vocals and move away from strictly instrumental pieces, I bought the INTONATOR from Sammy's ($285 store-demo) . Now mind you, I have no voc skillz whatsoever, but I figured this unit will at least keep my voice in tune with the song along with giving me some kinda' idea what my crap would sound like with lyrics and vocalists .

My problem;..........
Understanding that the unit is best utilized during mixdown and not tracking especially in bussing operations(which is NOT how/where I want to use the unit) to correct vocal pitch and keep singer in tune, can I use the unit coming from the recorder's outs
to monitor and adjust tuneage probs!!??

The INTONATOR is 2-channel with XLR connections.

This is how I got the unit connected;

Topaz 24/8 board, chann 11 & 12 direct outs cabled to HD24.

HD24's outs to INTONATORS in's while the units' outs are cabled to boards 11 & 12 ins.
Record a simple vocal scale in Dm on track 11,half or so step outta tune figuring I will be able to adjust the vocs via the return
from the HD24.
No dice!!:( Nada! NOTHING!!!

All I want to do is be able to correct pitch and key AFTER the vocal track's recorded and then ret'd to the board via the HD24. Did I connect this thing right ? Can the INTONATOR be connected to a channel insert where I can do adjustments upon return?

Again, I don't want to connect it to the busses as the board's headroom is notorious for drops.

All I want to do is effect pitch correction after tracking.

HELP ME PLEASE! :(

Manual informs on use, but not cabling!:(

Thanking n-e 1 in advance!

Duhhhhh!

I figured it out!

I forgot to take the unit out of bypass-mode!!
