I'm a damn junkie...I need my mic fix again.

I bought a C1 already, and I love it, but have never owned nor used a TB1...which is better?

It says the TB1 is the best mic under $3,000.00...but I have heard the C1 is better ...im lost...HELP!

Who's "it"?

wanna bet $3000 that I can't find you at least 20 mics under $3000 that you'd rather have?

When you start saying things like "I'm looking to expand my sonic pallette",
THEN you're a true junkie (like me)...

The C1 is a fine microphone, and I'm sure the TB-1 is too, however,
keep in mind there is no microphone that's inherently best for anything.

Chris

P.S. Let us junkies know how you like the TB-1 if you get it though! :)

Yo DJL, as someone who spent a few years doing The Who, I can tell you that AKG D690 has survived the cord swinging thing better than all competition. Old High-Z mics were great for this, as the threaded adaptors were less prone to the creation of mic missiles. With these XLR wuss mics, you gotta use a lot of strapping tape, or some fan, band member, or piece of gear will pay the price.-Richie
