We're sorry to announce a minor setback in launching Starmaker Cruise Lines new Miami to Key West High-Speed Ferry service. It seems that on her maiden voyage, Bob wanted to try out his new water skis, and allowed Daisy Mae to take the helm. Unfortunately, Daisy Mae had spent the previous night partying on South Beach, and was a bit under the weather.
Not to worry, though. Bob says the proceeds from the NEW BOOK will more than cover the repair bills.

I can't believe this thread is still alive and well. We are no longer with Starmaker as we got caught smuggling drugs into Columbia.
It seemed like an easy way to make a few bucks..... how were we to know they didn't need any. After turning into the only white steel band on the Holland America cruise lines we have desided to go our separate ways.

Haven't been on this forum in quite a while........ had to go all the way back to Lyle Darling to get caught up.... I'm cryin'......... I can plainly see that uncle Bob has been on the roll! I hope the recuperation is going well. This thread has become a dead horse, but every once in a while I just gotta kick the damned thing.
Daisy Mae wasn’t injured in the “accident”. Amazingly, as she ploughed the ferry into the jetty at high speed, she was unscathed. At that moment, she was actually on the deck under the helm, nursing a large bottle of mescal. She bounced around a bit, but was well-insulated. She is currently trying to find a replacement for Pashop’s band, but can’t find a band that fit the pirate costumes.

All is going well my friend... finally! I'm back in the swing of things now and catching up. Man, I didn't even play guitar much. At first, having the guitar against my chest caused a coughing fit because the pneumonia was in the right lung.. that took several days to figure out.. then the hospital stay.. I've never been hit so hard by anything like that in my life! Nearly 6 weeks to recover... the good news is, I quit smoking! The bad news is, I've already gained 8 pounds! I was eating everything in sight! Now that I'm off the medication, the doctor claims that problem will go away.... yeah right! So how goes it down south? Did you get moved yet?

Glad to hear you're on the mend! Pneumonia? Man, that's serious stuff.
We lost out on the house we wanted, so we're back searching. This house buying thing is all new to us, so it's scary. The upside is that I get to finally build a permanent studio, with all the gear in one place. We're trying to find a place out in the sticks- but the Sticks are getting pretty scarce around here!
We'll have to quit smoking too- with mortgage payments, we won't be able to afford it!
Take care of yourself and remember - Shenandoah has miraculous healing properties!

It sucks that you missed out on the house.... but a better one will come up. It happened to us that way when we bought this place. I DO hear the part about the mortgage... no workie, no cashie here. Oh well, we'll go down in style! Floating down the Shenandoah on my Taylor guitar case! Gotta say it wasn't exactly the best time to buy a new guitar... but... it was a limited and the price was right and I "needed" something to help me recover and well... I just couldn't pass it up! Aint plastic a wonderful thing? I guess we kinda missed the fishing thing this year bro, we'll have to shoot for next year!
