Tascam TM-D1000 into Sound Blaster Live?

I am thinking about purchasing the Tascam TM-D1000 16 channel digital mixer. I have a Sound Blaster Live Sound Card which has SPDIF's. Would the SPDIF's from the Tascam TM-D1000 be able to run into the SPDIF's on the Sound Blaster Live I/O Card? And would it be very good quality?

In theory, yes indeed you can connect that way. And the quality should be better than you would get running into your cards analouge ins by a good bit. AND in the future you could get a TDIF card.. alowing you 8-16 seperate digital connections from your board. AND that board sounds GOOD.

Will the TM-D1000 sound very flat. Will I need to buy seperate preamps to warm it up? And are the Sound Blaster Live's SPDIF's good or will i need a different card?
