Tascam Porta Two - is it possible to play and record the same track ?

Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to play the all track of the tape (1,2,3,4) and record it on the 3(L) and 4(R) in the same time on the Tascam Portal Two ?
Anyone did it ?

Not so far as I remember. You need at least one of the four tracks available to record onto. To achieve more than 4 track recording you need to "bounce" 2 or three tracks onto the fourth, then playback the bounce and record onto one of the newly available tracks.
