TASCAM PE-40/133 photo request

Hi guys!

Is there anyone out there who owns the PE-40 parametric eq and who also has a decent digital camera to take a head on, centered picture of it for me?

I'd like to add this eq to the TASCAM wallpaper thread and have only been able to find grainy, lower resolution images of it and would like to it justice by putting together a nice sharp, detailed wallpaper image of it.

Also, if you could shoot it without any flash, with regular room light or sun light, (even better) and without any hard shadows. Picky, eh! :D

The image should look like this, angle wise, when you shoot it;

Cheers! :)

Well, I pretty much nailed the angle and lighting, but my camera may not be the best for this. I may try different settings or a different camera. And my PE-40 has more rack screw scarring than I realized.

can you send a link to the tascam wallpaper thread. couldnt find it

I can fix up most scratches and scarring in Photoshop, no problem. The image just has to be exposed decently and shot without any blur or bad haze.

Cheers! :)

There may be too much blurring for you unless you are going to reduce them a bit. My camera just doesn't focus well at that distance and zoom. There may be a setting that works better, like aperture priority with the f-stop maxed for greater depth of field, or maybe just a little less zoom will let the camera focus correctly.

The zoom was perfect! That helped to reduce any distortion in the geometry of the shot. Maybe just resend me the one shot outdoors without the crop and in it's original file format. Basically, straight out of the camera.

Thanks again! :)

That was from about 7' with the zoom set to fill the frame.

Good stuff!

I've been working on the first shot with the mix of indoor and outdoor lighting and I think I'll be able to work with that one for now. Managed to draw the missing lines back in and fix up the rack rash. Plus, that one had the brownish hue to the front panel which I was also able to enhance back to it's natural tone. So all things considered, I think I've got what I need! :)

Thanks again for all your help! :)

Cheers! :)

This is probably a long shot but does anyone out there have a TASCAM 133 deck? I'd like to add this deck to the wallpaper thread as well, and as is typical, the google image search is turning up some pretty sad results.

So, if one of you does have a 133 and wouldn't mind taking a decent picture of it for me, I'd really appreciate that! :)

And what I'm looking for here is also a head on centered shot, just like the PE40 requested above.

Let me know!

Cheers! :)
