Does anybody know where to get an MS-16 extender card? It is a blank sound card to extend your existing sound cards so you can access the trim pots that are buried.
Thanks

I'm sorry, but I've never heard of that. It may be a long shot, but you could try calling Tascam Parts tomorrow morning.

Let us know if you find one

I borrowed one for a while and Have looked into making one. The connector were available from the web somewhere. I did build a cable assembly that was a pain to use....

I've shaped a screwdriver blade on the end of bamboo sish-ka-bob skewers with sandpaper to make a nice tweaker to get to the second row of pots.

Hey Pete, I would call Tascam like themaddog suggested. I guess if nothing else maybe they can direct you to the right place. If that doesn't work try your local Tascam dealer or repair center and talk to one of the ol' timers. Keep us in the loop.

Thanks for the replies, Tascam discontinued all cards a while ago. I have been searching Google. Dodge, when I am done with this MS-16 soon, I can make room to finish my TSR-8s and make that tape for you.

VP, I was lucky to get one from Tascam about a year ago for my 58. Ethan borrowed it from me to work on his MS-16 so I know it'll work on that (same amp cards). Contact Teac again and see if they still have the one for the 58 which might be under a different part number than the MS-16's...try p/n 5200096100.
