hello, i am new to this forum but i joined because ive read some pretty good advice here. my problem is with my m600 console. heres what i want to do but cannot figure out proper patch sequence. i want to use the send and returns for the 1-8 mixer channels to run through mic modeler and compressor but when i remove the jumper cables patching the two together so i can run seperate dsub cables to the patch bays i lose the ability to moniter the incoming signals through the control room. i am using the aux channels for seperate headphone sends and assigning mixer channels to the sub group outs to be fed to delta 1010 into computer running samplitude 7.22 and saw studio 3.0. the manuel has shed no light on how i can get my signal back again for monitering purposes. it has worked fine with my old setup of just recording from the direct outs and not using the send and return setup but what good are these outputs if you cannot hear the end result. ive tried the stereo outs, the studio outs the master stereo outs and so on could someone please give me some advice. also, i dont want to use the direct outs for feeding the recorder due to them being unbalanced,i want to send a balanced signal to delta 1010. thanks, bj brown

PLEASE don't cross post this all over the forum. Delete all the duplicates posts and just leave the one in the TASCAM forum if you want help.

Oh great! I have a Tascam m600 and I want to help but now I have to surf the whole site to see if anyone else answered your question.

No thanks. I am curious though. There is no part of the mixer that the manual doesn't cover so I bet you are not looking hard enough.

Hint, you are not losing the ability to monitor, you are losing the normalled signal altogether.

You should never be messing with Dsubs to make a patch. Just use the tt calbes to patch to gear that should be wired to the patchbay. If you need custom cables drop me a line. I have tons of parts for your console as well, including patchbays and cables.

I could use some parts VU bulb, manual, and probably something in the future?:thumbs up:
