Tascam m312

I'm a bit of a newbie on the home recording path... but after review this seems to be a highly regarded vintage mixer. However, I'm having trouble figuring out how much I should pay to pick one up. Anyone care to give me a range that would be reasonable to pay for one of these?

to B or not to B

The m312 is without phantom power while the upgraded m312b had phantom. The 300 series came in 8, 12 and 20 channels. They are nice mixers with plenty of flexibility for most all mixing needs.

They are big and heavy and need to be well padded for shipping. Local pickup would be best if you can.

I bought mine (M312b) for about $125 and I've seen them go upwards to around $400 based on condition....

Prepal lists the M308

Good luck.

Thank you Evan, that was useful. I think I'll hold off for one that has phantom power.

Cheers,

Jon

I own a M312 and I only use phantom once in a great great while. For situations like that, they sell standalone units which are nice because they act as cable extenders for when you use them on drums.
