Originally, I was thinking of purchasing a Yamaha 12 Channel/4 buss mixer to use as a sub-mixer for drums, and phantom power supply.

But, now I'm swaying toward trying to pick up a good, used M-30, or M-208 mixer!

Does anyone have any experience with using either of these mixers? How are the pre's in these two boards, and do both of them provide phantom power, . . or does only the M-208?

Any help would definitely be appreciated. . .

Actually, neither M30 nor the M208 or any 200 series mixer offer phantom power for the microphone inputs.

That feature is available only on the 300B series and up from TASCAM.

Phantom power outboard units are readily available though and are not expensive to add on to a mixer that isn't so equipped so, fear not! :)

Both the M30 and M200 series boards are good sounding mixers and should do an admirable job for you.

Cheers! :)

Ohhhhhhhhhh, I didnt know that. . .!

Thanks 'FM'. . I didn't realize that the 208, or the M30. . . I appreciate the heads up on that! ;)

another option although maybe more than you need..

There's an M50 12ch/8 buss @ eBay with a few days left.
The seller is in Connecticut; not far from NYC .
