I just bought an old tascam m-216 without manual. I want to hook up the board to my digital mutitrack with the XLR output but I have no idea which pin is the hot on the output of the Tascam (the seller tell me it might be the pin 3, but I'm not shure of that). Is there anybody who can help me with this problem. And by the way is there anybody who have the manual (PDF version or something).
Thanks.

Pin 2 is hot on the M216.

There is no pdf version on the web of the manual. You will have to pony up the dough at TEAC parts in Mississauga, Ontario.

I used to own an M216, myself. Nice little board! :)

Cheers! :)

Brand new or used

Thanks for the info, it's very useful. I'm pretty happy with my 216. I also think it's a nice board. I wanted a board not too expensive so I hesitate a long time between a brand new (cheap) Behringer (or Yamaha) and an old school board. I made my choice. With the info you give to me, it will be easier to hook up everything. :)

Manual?

Hey, I was wondering if an M-216 or 208 manual ever made it's way to the information superhighway? Thanks!
