Tascam FW1884 or Firepod

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Tascam FW using XP. I'm kind of caught between the two and was actually thinking that I'd like the control surface better than the mixing on the computer using the firepod..I can't find many reviews on the Tascam but it looks like a good unit..Please advise if you get a chance..thanks, MJ

I'd suggest getting the FW1884 for its versality compared to the firepod. with the FW1884, you get a door to DAW controlling, outboard mixing,preamps etc....

hey man I love my firebox and the mixing is really not that hard at all.... If that is your main concern dont let it be an issue with the firepod....

Just look at the overall other features....
