Hi. I can't get the CD import function to work on my Tascam DP02.

I want to write a mono WAV file created on my computer to a CD, and then import this WAV file to the Tascam. It keeps telling me that the CD format is invalid. The CD import function only works when I use a CD exported from the Tascam.

I've named the file in the same manner as the Tascam (TRACK001.WAV), but no luck.

Tascam support said to try a different brand of CD (SONY, JVC, or TDK), but this did not work either. Anyway, if it can write to a particular brand of CD it only makes sense that it should be able to read from it as well.

I would so appreciate it if someone could offer some help.
Thanks.

Did you finalize the CD from the computer after burning the .WAV file? If you don't finalize the disc it won't play on any machine but your computer or another computer using the same CD burning software.

DP-02 Wave File Issue

I cannot get the USB import to work either on my Mac OS X Leopard or in Vista. With the Mac, I cannot even copy the file because I do not have rights. On Vista, it copies the file with no problem, but the DP-02 still cannot read it. I sent Tascam support a message over a week ago and no answer. Guitar Center, where I bought it, has been useless as well.

I think that your issue with the CD importing may be related to the same root cause.

Thanks

What sample rate and bit depth is the wav file?
