What is it you want to do? The DP-24 can connect via USB for file transfer ONLY. It can connect via MIDI to a DAW allowing control of the DP-24 from a DAW (not all functions) and vice versa. Download the manual and look it up. The functionality is limited as the DP-24 is not designed to be full fledged control surface for a DAW (and IMO, shouldn't be). The DP-24 is new to my studio and I plan to use its MIDI functions only to be the MTC master while I create drum tracks in REAPER using EZDrummer then load the audio track created in REAPER back as a track on the DP-24. Haven't even tried it yet, but soon. There is a program called T2488 written for the 2488 series (the precursors of the DP-24) that gave control of the recorder, but nothing out for the DP-24 that I've seen.
