Hello all,

I'm a musician and home recordist. I recently purchased the above named cd burner and I'm having some problems with track designations.

Some of my original songs have quiet passages...the 750 seems to want to make one track 3 or 4 separate tracks.

I have the sensitivity level set at -24 db and have placed the auto-track selection on 'off.' I know 0 db is louder then -24 db, but should I put the 750 in the lowest negative extreme, or should I have it closer to 0 db? I want to avoid having the 750 make what I consider one song, one track, into as many as 4 different tracks...simply because of a few quiet passages.

Any help will be much appreciated, as I have already created a few glorified coasters out of ruined blank cds.

How low can you set the sensitivity level? -24 is quiet, but the actual space between tracks should be a good deal lower, I'd think. Yeah, go to the low extremes! Go -30, or -40... -60? Why not, if you can. But... I can't help thinking you need another way to tell your burner what you want it to do. What if you have dead-silence in your track?

No manual?

If you have the auto track off it shouldn't put a new track number at all.
