Tascam 488 manual or blockdiagram wanted

I just bought a Portastudio 488 without manual.

I found at Tascam and by Google only manuals for the more recently models (414MKII & 424MKII). Also I found plenty people looking for the same manual and one guy at eBay selling bootleg manuals.

Can someone please send me a pdf copy of the Tascam 488 manual?
Even a block diagram will make me happy!

Today I received the French, German and Italian manual by post from the man who sold me the 488! ;)

Not perfect, but I can understand some German, for the language is related to Dutch.

I'll scan the manual later for anybody who wants a copy, and post it here.

Maybe I'll find a genuine English version one day (I'm not going to buy the eBay bootleg).

Thanks for the advise Green Hornet. Although I do like gin, I rather prefer the original Irish whiskey! ;)

I have the 488 MKI produced in august 1990.
From what I found online, the 488 MKII looks very similar except the 488 divers in the XLR, VU and EQ. The German manual is not to difficult to understand, for the Portastudio is a very straightforward machine. But thanks for the offer anyway!

Nice to see a photo of that unit. Very similar to the one I still have in my vault. Here is a tip, maybe you already know, but I'll pass it on.

Move the Pitch control to the highest speed or level--makes for better fidelity.
