It wont playback the tape when put in. It goes to stick itself to it but then cant.

Does Tascam still fix these? Or do I need to find a third party? I couldnt do anything that seemed to fix the problem. I did tweak the machine to run smoother in other ways though. Not sure how to proceed. I tried contacting Tascam but havent talked to anyone yet.

Even if Tascam does fix these, you can almost definitely get one on eBay for around the cost of the repair. Then you'd have spare parts too if it failed on you again.
