Tascam 488 belt

I have a Tascam 488. It's agreat machine and it's giving me the results I want...Escept now. the playback is really warbly and slow. I took the thing apart and i'm pretty sure it's the belt. I have 2 questions. First, Is there a way to tighten the belt? Second, I can't seem to find anyone in my area (augusta, maine) that would have a belt. Anyone have any information or ideas on this?

Contact Ole Bob at Vintage Electronics Sales, Repair, Parts for Marantz, Pioneer, Teac, Etc.

I think he'd even have a belt for Abe Lincoln's pants!!!

Belts get replaced and not adjusted.

You may also need to remove moving surfaces, clean, and relube them.
