TASCAM 424 MKIII Boot Loop + clicking sound

Hi everyone,

After cleaning and re-seating the capstan belts of my Tascam 424 MKIII I'm experiencing an infinite boot issue with the device when powering it on. Here's a video demonstrating the issue:



A faint whine and clicking sound can be heard when the device is powered on. Has anyone experienced this issue before? How would I approach debugging this?

I seem to have fixed it by simply rotating the right spindle (terminology?) slightly with my fingers!
