Funny, but...

contrary to conventional wisdom, old fuses like that can actually become intermittent. Just don't rule it out, offhand. Been there & done that.

The center points of the tension arm pulleys should be geometrically even and level with the tops of the adjacent idler and counter rollers, L/R respectively./DA

Guys, I had a brain fart.

The proper position is when... The center points of the tension arm pulleys should be geometrically even and level with the bottoms of the adjacent idler and counter rollers, (not the tops!).

It makes a huge difference!
