After reading on this message board, I decided to look for a tascam 246 to get out of the digital domain and into some analog recording. I recieved 2 246's that I had bought on e-bay. I took them out and neither of them worked, so I took them both apart to check the belts. One of them had the big belt go bad and the other had the smaller belt go bad, but instead of swithing them, I took the smaller belt and and doubled it up so I could test the machine out, but soon I will buy new belts for both machines. I didn't have a lot of time to play with it because of homework and stuff, but so far it sounds awesome. Just wanted to say thanks to the people that post here for helping with the decision to buy these.
