I've also been witness to only 2 ATR-60/4's on Ebay, within the last 5 years. Back in 2001, there was one ATR-60/4 that was BIN/$500, but unfortunately, it was at a time in my life where my budget wouldn't accommodate, and it was about 500 bones more than I had to spare at the time.
Also, in 2005, I saw another ATR-60/4, but the seller wanted $1999, and I emailed him with an offer of $550, but got no reply. The unit never got sold on Ebay,... heh,... who would've thought!! (I told him the asking price was too high!) Anyway, as with some auctions, sometimes, the seller will out-price himself, in a subconcious effort to sabotage the auction, because deep down he really wants to keep it. I've seen this happen several times.

PS: I've watched Ebay/Tascam and Ebay/Fostex 24/7 since Y2k. In that time, I've bought several thousand dollars worth of gear, but I suppose that's another post!
