One Hit Wonder
So here's the deal. I have song where the drum tracks have all been mixed down to a single, stereo track. I did this to reduce the load on my CPU before I had upgraded my computer - and unfortunately I did not save the original tracks (yeah, I know).

Now I want to put some reverb on the snare. But when I add the reverb, the kick becomes way too boomy. Any way to target the reverb so it is primarily on the snare. Can I do this maybe using the eq settings in the reverb?

I'd try making a copy of the drum track and eq the track to where it seems to accentuate the snare attack more than anything else, reverb that track and then blend it in the mix. Good luck.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

. . . or make a copy of that track, use a frequency dependent gate and set the key somewheres around 200 to 500 hz until you effectively gate out the kick or anything else for that matter.

Run a reverb on to that track 100% wet and blend in with the original.

When you copy the drum track, you could try and eq the bass out of it as much as possible as well.
