I need help on how to wire an old push to talk desk mic and use it for a talk back mic. this was probably an old CB or Ham radio mic in its day. it is 3 wire. Thanks in advance!

If you are plugging it into an XLR input, open it up, find out which two wires come from the mic capsule - they go to pins 2 and 3 and the PTT hopefully has c/o contacts. You wire those so that fingers off closed contacts short out 2 and 3, Make sure phantom power is off.

If the cable has a screen, it goes to pin 1
