I should also mention that there will be SOME flash on the page when it's complete. I'm adding a flash music player at the bottom of the page.

I'm in the process of doing one of these myself..
yeah stay away from too much flash.. it bogs down many of us with older computers still and there's a whole medley of flash issues that come up.. what you have is perfect (once it's all up and running of course) a flash muisc player is a great idea .. that's what flash is for.. small enhancements.. not for full websites (in my opinion)
