"synth type" feedback to monitors

So I am running 4 tracks of acoustic guitar from the computer to a stereo track out(1 take bridge and neck panned hard left,2nd take the same panned hard right). When I run them out of the back of my soundcard through the Lex verb and back into the inputs on the front i get this hideous constant distorted synth type sound out of my moniters (in the key of G ). I tried both balanced and unbalanced cables.

I've heard of people doing this to add hardware reverb after compression so I'm pretty sure it's possible ( I know I'm adding a little noise ). Anybody know why I'm having this problem?

Sounds like you have created a feedback loop. Think through the signal chain and figure out where the loop is, or start writing new songs in the key of G. My guess is it's in your soundcard mixer app.

As Robert said, thats a feedback loop. make sure you are not sending back to the same channel/track
