Hello everyone here at HR forum.I am seeking to find if my triton programs patches will sync thru midi with the boss dr880 and the timing wil also sync.(new to syncing)

Hook the midi out of the Triton to the midi in of the DR880 using standard 5 pin din midi cable. This will make the Triton the master and the DR880 the slave. Put the Triton in the mode to send midi clock and the DR880 in the mode to recieve midi clock. Push play on the Triton and the DR880 should play right along with it.
The two machines should have default settings that allow this to happen, but if you've been changing the settings on eihter device you may need to go in and reset them. Also, if there's a function to disable midi note information in the Triton from being transmitted at the midi out port, switch it on. All you want to do at this point is get the machines in sync, not use the Tritons sequencer to drive the DR880.
This is only possible with a standard midi cable -- USB midi needs to go thru a computer or a converter box to be used in this configuration,
