I am having problems syncing my Acid 2.0 (slave) to Cakewalk 9 (master).

I am running them seperately on 2 different computers.

I also can't sync Fruity Loops in that same manner either.

But, I can perform this task with Rebirth.

Does anybody have any suggestions for me??????

Thanks in advance...

So, you've got that syncing feeling? eh? Sorry. I just spent about 5 days trying to sync my system together. One thing is that Cake sends out midi sync, not midi time code. I don't think Acid slaves to midi sync. Acid does generate Midi time code (often written MTC) and Cake should sync to that. Try Acid as the master. Check that out and if it isn't the problem... list your settings and midi interface etc. Good luck!

Thanks rjt.

I will try the solution that you suggested.

I'll post you back with the outcome.

Syncing feeling

OK, This is a completely ridiculous solution to your problem, but it worked for me.

Acid is horrible at syncing to anything. It just plain sucks.
However, I also have CoolEditPro, which is EXCELLENT for syncing.

So, I export my acid project to a WAV, open it in CoolEdit, and sync that to whatever. You could do this with Vegas or Sound Forge if you have one of those.

Good Luck

Thank Redeye. :)

I didn't even think about that solution.

It'll probably work, I'll let you know on Wed. morning.

I have SoundForge and Vegas 2.0, so I'll try them both.

hey does this mean I should sell my MOTU XT EXPRESS ?

I bought it just for the sync capabilities but it looks like I don't need it anymore.

Am I right ?
