I am a cubase user. I am having problems where when I play a the notes, they shift. For instance, I play a note on the 3rd bar & it ends up going to the 2nd bar. I thought it was my midi interface. I changed it & bought a MOTU Midi Timepiece & I still have the same problem. It happened to me on 98. I upgraded to XP and the same problem. I also have the same problem in cubase SX. I can't trace the problem.

Which Cubase and what version are you using?

I have read about this before and while it doesn't affect me I might be able to dig up some help for you. I can't remember what I read about it, but I know I have seen this before. It's like reverse latency.

yeah must be something like that. But it's not audio it's midi. I'm using cubase vst 32 5r2. Not sure if it's the cubase version though. I think before I upgraded to this version I had the same problem. It also happens in Cubase SX.

Bass Master K, I've tried that one. Can not seem to find one of the solutions to work. I'll re read the thread though. Maybe I overlooked something. Thanks anyway.

you must be doing something wrong... but i can't quite figure out what... this is a very weird problem. sound like some global transpose function automatically switches on :D are you using a pirate version or what? if so, then it's probably a bug with the crack and thank god for that... ;)

maybe it's a global transpose on your keyboard...
now, how are you recording and with what equipment...

Well I get the problem only in Cubase(VST & SX). I don't get the problem in Logic.

maybe you have set your quantise too rough. If you set quantise to for instance 4 th notes then what you record will end up being on the nearest beat (assuming you choose to have 4 beats in a bar :-). You will not be able to put in 8th notes.

Disable quantise or set quantise to a higher note value.

(hope I am not B*llsh*tting here :-)

No, this is a problem that quite a few cubase users have experienced, and it's not crack users.

There have been many "fixes" for it, only none of them seem to work for everyone. Many people have reported that one out of several possible fixes works for them, and others say no fixes work for them.

One solution that works for everyone is simply to drag and move the midi track so that it matches up right, but it is nonetheless annoying for those who want it working right.

Have you had any luck with any of the suggested fixes wordizbon?

no luck at all bass master. I think I gonna try reinstalling my OS then see what happens.
