Exnt production m8 and I like your vocals too very good all round performance cant fault it good luck with your music..From The Tartan rascals.

My first chance to listen (on my new wharfes) :D

Awesome job! I love the spread you get on the percussion throughout...

Nice punchy kick and snare also...

By the way.... I'm tired of hearing you complain about how you're "not a guitar player"... I wish I couldn't play guitar half as well as you 'can't'

:p

Love your stuff man...

:)

This is a quality version of this. I love this song anyway but you do a really cool version of it. I first heard this version last night when i was being nosey in your website. I didnt see this thread before. I also like your version of Everybodys got something to hide...You stay pretty true to the song but also bring something to it which is a hard thing to do, i find. Well palyed!

Is this song mastered? I'm trying to learn about mastering...so I'm trying to figure out what a mastered track and unmastered track sound like.

Well, it's not "professionally" mastered. I put it in Wavelab and added some L2 and Magneto. But I'm no ME, so I guess you could say it's half-assed mastered.

I have no clue what any of that is but HEY its my first step to learning!

He diddnt send it off to be mastered. He did it himself by limiting it himself, i believe they are both plugins.
Wavelabs is an editing software, like soundforge etc..

How do you like Magneto? Have you ever used Vintage Warmer or any other tape saturation plugs? I have never used Magneto.

So do proffesinals still use analog recording, because apparently this Magneto plug in gives it the analog sound. I never knew they sounded different. Oh, and why is there a need for a mastering plug in? From the looks of it, Mastering deals with levels. WHy couldn't you just use the master volume and raise it up?

I've never tried another one. To be honest, I don't think I have a good enough ear to be able t tell the subtle differences there might be. A friend, who's opinion I trust, recommended Magneto at the time I was looking into that kind of thing. I like what it does, and I've heard the Vintage Warmer is good too, but never tried it. :)
