Yeah I been drinkin, SO!?
I'm selling a 501 here, and it's only up to $34! Someone at least buy it for $50, damn!

I about s&*t when I saw this post. I just bought one elsewhere for $100! So when I went to your eBay listing, I saw it was already past $100. Which means I got a good deal, and you won't get hosed!

Good luck to you and happy compressing to whomever wins this!

I got all of mine for 120, 130, and 150! I guess I at least wanted 120 for this one. Looks like I got my pants in a bunch prematurely. Thanks, though.

$167? for a push-button 501? good lord, how internet hype has inflated the "value" of these things.

good job getting a lot of $$ for it, though! :D

cheers,
wade

Yeah, he did well. Just this week I paid $100 for a toggle switch 501. Makes me feel alright...;)

that's awesome-- the toggle switch version has the preferred valley people vca right?

Yep that's the one. Just a few days ago I snagged a couple Symetrix SX202's of Pohaku. I had purchased a 528e--and was looking for more channels of the same sound without all the 528's extras.

And in the course of that transaction, Pohaku's educating me a bit on Symetrix, and tells me about the 501 for bass. I'm doing more and more with bass (though primarily a guitarist) and thought I'd keep my eyes open for one. Well one found me a day later.

Go figure...:D

i've read that the 501 (particularly the toggle switch version) is awesome on snare as well

Delivered today--it's out in my car. So I'll give it a try this weekend -- I hope.

BTW--Kojdogg--I recently posted a clip in the clinic of the first song I mixed with homegrown drums (I recorded 'em; but didn't play 'em)--only the second time I tracked drums.

I may be a guitarist, but I'm groovin' on working w/real drums that I've recorded. Anyway, a large part of the sound is coming from the pair of NT5's used as OH mics--the ones I bought from you. Come to think of it, the acoustic was tracked with one of 'em too.

Thanks again, they're seeing a lot of use. :D

Here's the link:

(Sorry to hijack--at least it's about a deal made here!)

How are you liking the SX202's?
I was glad you went for that deal.

Those just arrived today as well (SX202's & a 501--from different places--on the same day!) so I don't know yet. I'm in the studio as I type this and may get them racked up yet tonight...
