SX3 route audio to VSTi

If I wanted to route an audio track to a vsti channel, how do I convert the audio to midi so that it can be routed to the vsti channel

you cannot route audio to a instrument midi track, it does not process nor accept audio. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I am not sure how to convert audio to midi. I would imagine that whatever does that, at best, would be fairly sketchy. However, there are a lot of vsti's out there that also have standard vst plugins available as well that would allow you to run an audio track through them. I have used the NI Hammond B4 on more than one occasion on vocals and on guitars and bass.

For instance, I have a kick drum audio track that I would like to trigger samples in BFD drum module or even the Cubase SX3 drum vsti module.
