I love their business model. A $60 "personal use" license has every feature the $200 "professional use" license does, and I respect them for pricing their program to put it into the hands of guys like me doing this for fun.
:D

Well, cancel that statement completely. They have changed their prices. Obviously they have decided they weren't making enough money and had to rip more money out of the customers' pockets. The $60 level is now $40 and the $200 level is now $150. I get so pissed off when big companies do things like this. :D http://www.reaper.fm/purchase.php I want a refund for the couple of years that I was using the $60 version. :D

Is there any difference between the free version and the license version?
Or is just like a donation to the creators?

Yes. No nag screen :D
Oh and your name + license type in the title bar.

Really though, it's not a donation. You have a 30-day trial period and then you need to pay for the program. They do (technically) allow using the program beyond 30 days. The program won't disable anything, but this is for users who didn't get a chance to really dig in and find out if they like it or not.

But come on.. they just lowered the price to $40 for a personal/small business. It's practically a steal already!

I'm all for paying people for their work. I just downloaded it last night and if it works out I will pay the $40 without hesitation.
