i actually went into guitar center. I do once every few months since there is one a couple of blocks away from my studio. usually when I need a few odds and ends. i generally quickly peruse there "pro" (ahem) audio department looking at used gear. today I scored the jackpot. A lexicon pcm-91 for $700. yes I know, thank you very much. dumbasses. I am cool. later sucka's.

Isn't that kinda like answering the classified ad "electric guitar for sale - $100", and going there to find out it's a '54 Les Paul the farmer had tucked in his closet unplayed for 20 years!

I'll give you $500 for it, nubs - you can replace that old junk GC sold you with a shiny new reverb - maybe a new Alesis or something! :p

What a sucker. For that money you could have 7 Behringer Vitualizer Pro's. The Lexicon doesn't even have Pro in the title.

y is it i'm always hearing these stories...i heard someone got an chandler ltd-2 for 400 at GC:eek:

i tried that shit at scam cash with a Pure path channel strip(eq,compressor and pre-amp) dude was like i can give it to you a couple of hundred less...shit was like 2495...i'm like wow what a bargain..and it was on close out so it must of been there for a long while...
 
PCM 91 for $700?? Now that's what I call a stankan' good deal!
 
Not when you can get a Kurzweil "Rumor" for <$600... which sounds way better than a PCM-91 could ever dream of sounding...
 
Hmmm. First Drum Bum finds like 500 expensive compressors for like $100 . . . goes to a Garage Sale and trades his bike for a 24-channel Neve board . . .

Some other punk's sister's ex-boyfriend leaves like 100 Countryman DI's at his place. Hell, I know I never go to my girlfriend's without taking at least one or two DI's with me. Got one in my pocket right now, as a matter of fact, just in case I decide to drop by later for some nookie.

Some other guy (Mr. Funky?) on the mic board scored himself some broken mics for cheap, and he got kind of excited about that, I could tell. He kinda' went out and told a lot of people about it. I think that was just him on my answering machine, as a matter of fact.

Now Sweetnubs walks in to his favorite hangout, Guitar Center, and lands himself a deal on a reverb. I guess that doesn't surprize me. I heard he was up for Employee of the Month for August, so that was probably just his reward.

What the fuck is going on? Do I need to get out more or something?

Maybe I should email Tom Waits or Tool or MassiveAttack and tell to all of them they are punks. :D BTW I saw A Perfect Circle live last saturday, and woooo a nice concert.

And buy the way, I also got, from the guy I hate, a SoundCraft SpiritFolio 10/2, a few cables, an ADAT (Blackface, 1505 hours) a Fostex R8 (not in good shape), a home Teak 5 cd player (??) and there is still some stuff I have to check in my sisters house. I think there is a compressor and a BBE maximiser..dunno, I'll see soon. Maybe today.

He simply told my sister "tell Fred to take whatever he want, and throw everything else in the garbage"

Yes, I still hate this guy. You must think I'm incredibely selfish, but...naaah...you dont know him. I didnt even call him to say thank. He know I hate him.

The funny part is i am already set in the reverb department. I mostly use my reverb chambers anyways. I'm stoked because of the amount of bread I'll make when I put the sucker up on e-bay. I've been wanting to get me a nice rug. kryogh, Waits wouldn't use this sucker anyways, he's a chamber man . . . .

Let's try this again. I said you are a punk. No one else thinks so, that I know of. And I say you're a punk because you are one. First off, you do not hate people who give you free audio gear. Especially nice stuff. :D I've never even met my sister's boyfriend, but if he gave me a bunch of Countryman's, I think I'd send him a fruitcake or something come Christmas time.

I bet 1000$ (CAD!) that if you met this guy, witch is 34 or 35 years old, 15 min after talking to him, you simply will want to hide somewhere, or move to another town, or...x...or...X...x, to be sure to not have to see him again.

Please dont think I never tell this guy that I hate him and what I think about him!!! I told him many times...Was hard, he's muscles are bigger than mine, pretty sure he runs faster than me, I dont give a crap. Hit me, dont care, you will be more stupid then you were. (by the way, he once hits one of my nefew, tried to sell marijuana to some 12-13 years old boys, simulate some KARATE fight in front of others 12-13 years old boys witch came to his house because they tought he has stolen their little mountain bikes..never know if he really did...maybe he had some money to give to a dealer..dunno, dont care..I dont see him anymore.)

The Countryman DIs are a bit heavy. Maybe I should try to hit him with these. This can develope my punk side! :D
