Hi-
I'm new to pc recording... Just out of curiosity- what's the deal with getting a basic surround mix?
Is this option in recording software, soundcard or mastering?
Thanks!!!

Also- how is the Audiophile card with Cool Edit Pro? Is this all I need to begin??
I've only recorded on portable studios. I'm serious about my music and am thrilled at the possibilities that PC recording will afford me...
Thanks for the knowledge!

Your first question.......I dont know.....I think Logic Audio has some sort of suround sound.
Second, the audiophile is a good card with audio at 24bit and midi combined.
I believe Cool Edit is a 2 tracker. I use it, but just for the occasional effects.
Might want to look at some higher end programs like Logic,Cubase,Cakewalk,etc...
Go for Logic 5.0 if you got the bucks........getting ready to ship if it has'nt already.

is Logic simple to figure out?
I've heard that Cakewalk is tedious...N-Track and Cool Edit are easy...What do you think?

Well..........I have used Logic for 4 yrs. now and Im still learning:eek:
Most advanced programs are a little overwhelming at first, but it's well worth it in the end:)
